Get to know me and what I'm bringing to Guntersville Football

This Saturday, April 28, sign-ups for the Guntersville Wildcats youth football team begin. My brother and i are playing this year. This will be my last year to play youth football while my brother still has two more after this year. I played in 2017 when we made it all the way to the championship game before we lost to Fort Payne. I took a break in 2018 but I've decided to return for my final year. The 2017 season included beating Fyfe 28-27, defeating the challenging Scottsboro Wildcats at home, and narrowly defeating Albertville in OT. Since it's my last year to play for this Guntersville team, I'm determined to leave a mark.
Sign-up day is a somewhat exiting day as each player gets to pick any number he wants unless it's already taken. Also on that day, they usually give you the right size pants and helmet. My brother has his mind set on number 34. He's already clarified that if number 34 is available, he's going to wear it. For me, I've been debating on which number I'll take. I love number 21. If it's available, I'll probably choose it. But I also like numbers 1, 2, 8 and 18. The coaches son's will probably take numbers 1 and 2 so I don't exactly plan on those being available. But I love number 21, 8 and 18 and there's a good chance at least two of them won't be selected.
I'm so exited for this season and to see us grow as a team and a family. There's a quote from Peyton Manning that says "The most valuable player is the one who makes the most players valuable." That's exactly what I intend to do this season. I'm going to push my self beyond the limits in practice and in games. We're not only going to become better athletes this season. We're going to build better character, build better sportsmanship and become a family. Go Wildcats!
Let's go dominate!
